2008 Gillette Young Guns Website

The new and improved Gillette Young Guns website is now live.

Building on the framework built in 2007, RDVO worked with the Gillette Team to integrate a number of new features including design updates, new multimedia features, interactive screen savers, and the introduction of new Young Guns: Clint Bowyer and Denny Hamlin.

The website’s technology and information design have also been optimized for 2008, which hopes to be an active and successful year for Gillette’s NASCAR promotions.

The Gillette Young Guns website won for Best Entertainment/Sports website at the 2007 MITX Awards.

We’re proud to announce the launch of the Fast Cars & Superstars website, an exciting add-on to the Gillette Young Guns website. The show features William Shatner, John Elway, Jewel, and other celebs learning what it takes to win on the track. The Gillette Young Guns are six of the top drivers on the stock car circuit.

RDVO developed the site design and built out all the Flash work. The first episode of the show airs on ABC on June 7.

Reboot > Reset > Relaunch

jumper cable start fire up3.jpgWe’re happy to report that the MBTA website has been restored. A combination of high traffic and application problems brought down the site last Friday and—several sleepless nights later—the site is now stable and fully functional. The site did go through extensive quality and performance testing prior to launch but (as anyone in this business will tell you) you can never hope to test for every scenario. We apologize if service down-time caused any problems.

We remain incredibly pleased with the final product and riders have already embraced the new tools and applications. The site’s direction and strategy was crafted from exhaustive user surveying and rider focus groups. Of course, we don’t expect to please every user on the system—especially with a group as vocal and passionate as MBTA riders—but we believe this site will make the ‘T’ more accessible and easier to use. We also will continue to work with the MBTA team to continuously improve the site; new features including iPod downloads, mobile site access, and improved alerting are just around the corner.

Thank you for your patience over the last few days, and we urge you to explore the site, experiment with the new tools and let us know what you think.

RDVO Launches New Creative for MedVentive

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

We recently wrapped up an engagement with MedVentive, a medical software provider located around the corner in Cambridge. It’s a small site that’s designed to be a marketing tool for the company. The site was build entirely using web standards-compliant code.

In addition to the website, we also reworked the corporate identity and helped develop a series of updated print collateral. Take a look @ MedVentive.com.

Radius Product Development Launch

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

We recently launched a new site for Radius Product Development, an great product/industrial design firm located here in Massachusetts. It’s a nifty little site that relies on some Flash tricks to auto-resize images and layouts.

The photography was provided by the Radius team and is what really gives the site something special. The decidedly “non-slick approach gives the company a more down-to-earth and hands-on feel–setting it apart from some of their competitors.

Sendio gets a new identity

Monday, August 28th, 2006

sendio markTake a look at Sendio.com, a website we recently completed for an up-and-coming California startup. Sendio provides the I.C.E. Box, an enterprise anti-spam appliance that uses Sender Address Verification technology to block spam. It’s a great product that leverages some cutting-edge technology to block spam without the need for maintaining filters.

Like many of the sites we’ve been developing, Sendio.com is completely web standards compliant. Not a single table was harmed in the creation of the site.

We also developed the company’s new logotype and online brand. The mark has a little NASCAR-ish feel…but absolutely reflects the company’s personality and brand.
