Fast Cars & Superstars

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Did you ever wonder how you’d fare against NASCAR drivers? A few celebrities wondering the same thing and a new reality show was born! We’re proud to announce the launch of the Fast Cars & Superstars website, an exciting add-on to the Gillette Young Guns website. The show features William Shatner, John Elway, Jewel, and other celebs learning what it takes to win on the track. The Gillette Young Guns are six of the top drivers on the stock car circuit.

RDVO developed the site design and built out all the Flash work. The first episode of the show airs on ABC on June 7.

RDVO wins 2007 Webby Award for MBTA.com

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Can you believe it? We learned earlier this week that a site that RDVO planned, designed, and delivered — MBTA.com — won the 2007 Webby Award in the Government category.

We were definitely surprised to beat out some great sites including the Library of Congress and Factcheck.com.

According to the Webby team, there were over 8,000 works entered from all 50 US states and over 60 countries worldwide, which makes the 2007 awards the biggest in their history. The Webbies are considered by many to be the “Oscars of the Internet” and we’re extremely pleased, excited, and humbled to be among the winners.

Most importantly, we want to acknowledge our amazing client counterparts at the MBTA who–from day one–brought a special blend of competency, hard work, vision, and fairness to the table.
See you at the award show in June!

RDVO Hosts Works from Axiom Gallery

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Our sad blank walls have now come alive with help from Axiom Gallery’s corporate art program. Axiom, recently named “Best in Boston” by the Weekly Dig, is Boston’s only gallery dedicated exclusively to showcasing emerging and established artists working in new media.

We are currently displaying works from Mark Stock, a programmer, researcher, and artist who explores the boundary between the real and the unreal as it pertains to fluid dynamics, computer simulation, and visual perception. His work depicts scenes from the hidden world of fluid turbulence, and is created with custom software from his research.
